The mission of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition is to increase sports participation among youth of all ages and abilities and to promote healthy and active lifestyles for all Americans. The Council is composed of up to 25 volunteer citizens who are appointed by the President of the United States and serve in an advisory capacity through the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).
