Jack LaLanne Jumping Jack Challenge Shatters World Record!

 
 

July 30, 2024 — On July 12, 2024 at 1pm PST, over 9,000 fitness professionals and enthusiasts came together to break the World Record for the largest simultaneous Jumping Jacks performance, previously sitting at 2,251! This event was in memory of Jack LaLanne, “godfather of fitness,” and celebrated his legacy in the fitness world, as well as that of his wife, Elaine LaLanne. In honor of Elaine’s recently celebrated 98th birthday, participants completed 98 jumping jacks as part of the challenge.

IDEA World Health and Fitness hosted the live event, with in person participants gathering at the Los Angeles Expo Center in alignment with the annual IDEA World Fitness and Nutrition Expo, taking place that same weekend. Celebrities in attendance included Denise Austin, Tony Horton, Gilad Janklowicz, Billy Blanks, LaCee Green, and others.

The NFF Board Chair Judi Brown Clarke was also in attendance, along with Vice Chair Michael McConnell, who were able to stand alongside Elaine on stage and participate in the Challenge.

Virtual participants from around the world joined via zoom, adding to the excitement from the day. All in all, the Jack LaLanne Jumping Jacks Challenge was a resounding success! Thanks to all for contributing to such an incredible event.
