National Fitness Foundation and President's Council on Sports, Fitness, & Nutrition Play Pivotal Roles in Historic Partnership to Promote Health and Wellness

[February 08, 2024] – The National Fitness Foundation (NFF) and the President's Council on Sports, Fitness, & Nutrition (the President’s Council) are proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership with the White House and 14 major sports leagues and players associations. This historic collaboration, unveiled as part of the White House Challenge to End Hunger and Build Healthy Communities, aims to expand access to physical activity, integrate messaging and education around nutrition, and promote healthy lifestyles to millions of individuals engaged in sports programs nationwide.

As highlighted in the recent statement from the White House, this partnership represents a significant commitment to improving health and wellbeing across the nation. The NFF is thrilled to be a part of this initiative, which aligns closely with our mission to inspire Americans of all ages and backgrounds to prioritize physical activity, nutrition, and mental health.

The President’s Council, led by Co-Chairs Chef José Andrés and WNBA Player Elena Delle Donne, has played a pivotal role in fostering connections between sports organizations and stakeholders to advance public health goals. Together with the NFF, the President’s Council continues to advocate for the importance of sports, fitness, and nutrition in enhancing individual and community health.
